Volgograd residents report cars frozen in ice after Tulaka utility failure

Residents assure that the flooding occurred near the site where a heating network rupture was fixed the day before.

Residents of the Tulaka microdistrict have again reported a leak on Yaroslavskaya Street. As a result of the utility incident, many cars parked along the street were literally frozen into the ice.

«Around 7 p.m., everything was flowing here,» local residents said. «Right down Yaroslavskaya Street in a stream. Several »Heat Supply Concessions« cars were parked here, and the vehicles that were parked overnight slowly froze into the ice, covered with a thick icy crust. Now the leak has stopped, but traces of the flood remain, and if it»s not cleared overnight, it will be very chaotic in the morning. And the radiators aren«t exactly fiery, just slightly warm.»

In «Heat Supply Concessions», they clarified that heating supply to Tulaka is operating normally, and no reports from Yaroslavskaya Street have been received at the unified dispatch center for housing and utilities issues.

Recall that the day before, the Tulaka microdistrict was left without heating due to a utility accident in the «Lesogorod» park area. The rupture site was discovered near house No. 10 on Yaroslavskaya Street, and by midnight, «Heat Supply Concessions» announced the elimination of the rupture and restoration of heat carrier supply parameters.
