Volgograd Region Bids Farewell to Fallen Shooter
Dmitry Svinin volunteered to go to the combat zone. His mother died without waiting for her son's return.

In the Sredneakhtubinsky district of Volgograd Oblast, the funeral of 23-year-old Dmitry Svinin, who died in Ukraine, took place.
The administration of the Kletskoye rural settlement reported his death. The head of the settlement, German Shahabov, stated: «With deep regret, I inform that our fellow villager, Dmitry Alexandrovich Svinin, died while performing his military duty. He gave his life for the Motherland, honorably fulfilling his military duty. We offer our condolences to his family and friends.»
Dmitry was the eldest child in a large family. After serving in the army, he worked at a factory in Volzhsky. His mother died about three months before the funeral.
Shahabov noted: «Of the relatives, two sisters and a brother remain. He was the eldest in the family. He has no one else. His mother died about three months ago. She did not immediately find out that he had left. It seems to me that after he went missing, she took to her bed.»
The young man signed a contract on 18 September 2024 and went to the zone of the special military operation as a shooter. For some time, he was considered missing, but in March of last year, relatives received news of his death.
«A normal young guy. Kind, friendly, sociable. He is our 14th casualty in the settlement, the youngest,» said German Shahabov. «He said: «I also must be there.» How he died, under what circumstances, we do not know. There is no information.»
The farewell ceremony took place in the khutor of Repino, where Dmitry was buried next to his mother.
