Volgograd overnight water cutoff: heating spared, addresses listed

Residents of the Krasnooktyabrsky district will have to endure 14 hours without cold or hot water. «Heat Supply Concessions» intends to reinforce the main water conduit, which last week experienced two ruptures in a single day.

«On the night of January 21 to 22, »Water Supply Concessions« will conduct a scheduled series of measures aimed at improving the reliability of the pipeline on 39th Guards Division Street. Last week, weak sections were localized on this main line, requiring urgent intervention by emergency services,» stated «Water Supply Concessions.» «To prevent repeated failures, specialists will carry out work to strengthen the pipeline structure. For this, an reinforced bandage will be installed — an engineering unit that increases the mechanical strength of the pipeline and relieves it of excessive load.»

The work is scheduled to run from 20:00 on January 21 to 10:00 on January 22. Homes in the affected area will lose hot and cold water, but heating is not planned to be shut off. Here is the list of addresses.
