UZPM Launches Industrial Tourism Project

The Bionord manufacturer will offer guided tours of its Krasnokamsk production facility.
The Ural Plant for De-Icing Materials (UZPM), a leading Russian manufacturer of modern anti-icing agents under the Bionord brand, has launched a project to develop industrial tourism. The program includes several stages, from team training to creating an excursion route for plant visitors.
The first stage involved training plant employees. UZPM specialists completed a professional program, «Technologies for Forming International Tourism Products for Target Tourist Markets,» organized by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization «Center of Competencies in Tourism and Hospitality.» During the course, participants studied modern approaches to creating and organizing industrial excursions, specifics of designing excursion routes, and tools for promoting tourism products on Russian and international markets.
The next step of the project will be developing a tour of the enterprise. It will allow visitors to get acquainted with the full production cycle of modern de-icing materials, the technologies used, and the history of the plant.
— « The development of industrial tourism opens new opportunities for demonstrating the potential of Russian industry and generating interest in the region«s enterprises. We view this direction as a tool for developing interaction with educational institutions, the professional community, and potential partners in Russia and abroad, » — noted at UZPM.
Today, the Ural Plant for De-Icing Materials is among the 30 largest companies in Perm Krai and the 400 largest enterprises in the Urals and Siberia. Bionord de-icing materials are used in more than 50 regions of Russia at various facilities, from federal highways and airports to city streets and residential areas. The entire product line is manufactured at UZPM, whose main production facilities are located in Krasnokamsk, Perm Krai. The plant is also one of the largest employers in the city and consistently implements projects aimed at developing the region«s industrial potential.
