During the specified period, traffic police officers detected 31,004 traffic violations, of which 29,713 were recorded by photo and video recording systems. 27 decisions were issued for failure to give way to pedestrians, 61 for non-compliance with technical regulations on window tinting, and 44 for driving without a license. 24 drivers were suspended from driving for being intoxicated or refusing a medical examination. Four of them were caught again for drunk driving.
Recidivism cases were recorded in Veliky Novgorod, Starorussky and Borovichsky districts. Thus, on the night of July 18 in Borovichi on Gogol Street, inspectors stopped a VAZ-2114. Behind the wheel was a 35-year-old man with signs of intoxication — the breathalyzer reading was 0.430 mg/l. It turned out that the citizen had never obtained a driver«s license, but over the past ten years had been criminally prosecuted nine times for driving while intoxicated.
