On the morning of January 30, at 40 Oktyabrskaya Embankment in St. Petersburg, flooding began in the underground parking of a residential building. As reported by a Fontanka reader, water continues to rise, and most of level -1 is already inundated.
Car owners were forced to evacuate their vehicles quickly as water levels rose in the underground parking.
A resident of the building said that such situations occur regularly. «This is not the first time. We»ve complained everywhere. It«s constantly flooding — from sewage, from fire pipes, and so on,» he shared. His parking space was also flooded, but, according to him, «not as badly.»
According to the man, the management company Etalon did not respond to the incident overnight. Car owners had to urgently remove their vehicles from the flooded parking.
In the coming days, residents have a shareholders« meeting planned, where they intend to discuss the recurring flooding and the lack of prompt measures from the management company.
The call center of Etalon management company confirmed that a request to fix the leak was accepted. «I can»t tell you anything else,« a company representative stated. Fontanka»s editorial office has contacted Etalon«s press service for comments.
