UAZ Overturn Among Three Accidents in Lipetsk Region

On the roads of the Lipetsk Region over the past 24 hours, three traffic accidents with injuries occurred. Three people sustained injuries. This was reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate (Gosavtoinspektsiya).

In Lipetsk, around midday, on Kosmonavtov Street, a Lada Vesta and a Kia collided. The Lada was driven by a 38-year-old man, the Kia by a 43-year-old woman. As a result, the driver of the foreign car was injured.

In Gryazinsky District, around 5:30 p.m., on the Gryazi–Dobrinka road, a 38-year-old driver of a UAZ lost control: the car left the road and overturned. The man was taken to the hospital with injuries.

In Lipetsky District, around 9 p.m., on the Sentsovo–Kuleshovka highway, a moped ridden by a 13-year-old girl collided with a Skoda driven by a 39-year-old woman. The 17-year-old passenger of the moped was injured.

In total, traffic police inspectors identified 6,253 traffic violations. Three drivers were held accountable for drunk driving, and 739 for not wearing seat belts.

Stationary automatic video recording systems recorded 5,961 violations, including speeding, driving into oncoming traffic, running red lights, and using a phone while driving. Mobile systems on patrol cars recorded another 98 cases.

In addition, 16 instances of mechanical vehicle collisions were registered in which no one was injured.
