Tyysachekoynaya Hospital Patients Report Inhuman Conditions from Drafts

Patients of the neurosurgery department at Tyysachekoynaya Hospital in Vladivostok have complained about the temperature conditions in the wards. According to them, due to the severe cold in the rooms, some are showing signs of respiratory illnesses, and a publication appeared on the Telegram channel «Maksim Chikhunov. Politician and Human Rights Defender.»

According to the patients, drafts are circulating due to poorly installed plastic windows. They have to seal the cracks with blankets, but the blankets simply freeze to the windowsill.
«There are no complaints about the doctors and medical staff. They are doing great, treating, trying. But here there are some inhuman conditions in the wards regarding the temperature regime. The windows let in a very strong draft. A draft is circulating. It»s impossible to stay here,« the message says.
Meanwhile, in the department, there are people preparing for surgeries or recovering from them, and they complained so that the head doctor would pay attention to the problem. Commenters also confirmed, saying that the situation hasn«t changed for many years.
«I was there five days ago in vascular surgery, they performed an operation to remove a vein. The cold is unreal, it feels like there are no windows at all, everything is blown out. We took two blankets each, slept in sweatshirts, and in the operating room it»s impossible to be there, teeth are chattering, they turn on the blower, two heaters, and it«s no use,» wrote Anna Khitrova.
As a result, the regional Ministry of Health responded to the situation. They reported that today, January 21, a specialized commission from the department will go to the hospital to assess the situation, and later specialists will report on the measures taken.
On January 2, with the same complaint, parents of young patients at Regional Children«s Hospital No. 2 in Vladivostok appealed. They complained about extremely low temperatures in the wards. According to the adults, at the inpatient facility at address: Primorskaya, 6, children with pneumonia and bronchitis are lying in conditions close to outdoor ones.
