Tyumen Women Accuse Guardians of Child Abuse in Shelter

Concerned residents of Tyumen are sounding the alarm and claiming that a family that takes children from shelters under guardianship is abusing them. According to townspeople, some children periodically have bruises on their bodies, they are often unkempt and look dirty. The women who contacted our editorial office assure that minors often go hungry and sometimes are left locked up without adult supervision.

«We have repeatedly filed complaints with various authorities. Recently, we asked investigators to conduct an inspection of these guardians from Tyumen regarding torture. They have several children who came to their family from shelters. We don«t know why, but these people take children under guardianship and then receive some payments for them. We communicate with some of the children, and they told us that force was used against them, they were kept locked up and fed poorly. Also, they were asked to clean up after numerous animals that are bred in this family. The children are afraid of their guardians», — the women tell us.

According to them, complaints about the family were made not only by these Tyumen women but also by their neighbors. After the last statement, investigators became interested in the guardians:
«An appeal has been received, which is currently under consideration in the investigative department. The information is being verified», — respond representatives of the regional Investigative Committee of Russia (SKR) in a request from the editorial office.
