Tyumen Residents Show Flooding in Yards and Plots
Some plots were severely flooded — water up to the knees
After heavy rainfall in Tyumen and the region, many homes were flooded. Readers contact the editorial office to report water damage. Below are their stories and photos.

«The problem is in the village of Kaskara (Tyumen Oblast) on Yuzhnaya, Vostochnaya, and Zheleznodorozhnikov streets. Our neighbors are sinking more and more every day. Water is in the houses, crucian carp are swimming around. Nothing is being done,» writes Olga Selyutina to the editorial office.
«Residents of the Zaikovo and Bykovo microdistricts (Tyumen) would like to report the problem of groundwater flooding. The water is rising every hour. Driveways to houses and basements are flooded, and the boiler rooms located there are out of order. There is no natural water drainage system in the microdistricts, which is why water stands even on the plots,» writes Lyubov Ivanova to 72.RU and attaches photos.
«The Parfenovo microdistrict is also flooding,» Yulia said and attached photos of flooded plots.
«I am a resident of Yesaulova in Tyumen District. The local administration is taking no measures to combat the flood. They did not even close the dam that cuts off the village from the river. We really need to draw attention to the problem; local authorities are not making contact,» writes one Tyumen resident.
«SNT Lavanda, Verkhny Bor. You can buy a boat and sail. It is flooding, very heavily this year. All the harvest has rotted,» said Lyubov.
