The water in Tyumen meets all established standards. This was reported by the information center of the Tyumen Oblast government, citing data from Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing).
«The agency has intensified laboratory control over the open source of drinking water supply — the Tura River — and drinking water in the network since July 16. Studies of drinking water and source water are conducted daily, including for the «toxicity index», at the accredited laboratory of the FBUZ (Federal Budgetary Healthcare Institution) «Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in Tyumen Oblast»,» the agency noted.
According to the latest data as of July 19, the water from the Tura fully complies with the standards.
Earlier, Tyumen residents complained about a strong smell from the river water, which was also noticeable on the embankment. Dead and half-dead fish were also spotted on the embankment. Currently, the relevant agencies are conducting an investigation.
