Judge Svetlana Afonina of the Privokzalny District was sent into honorable retirement. This was reported by the united press service of the Tula region judicial system.

The message notes that she worked as a judge for over 25 years. Her work is characterized as an example of conscientious and honest work, a model of high professionalism, principled and dedicated service to the judicial system.

It is noted that she first took up the position of judge in September 2000 at the Privokzalny District Court, where she worked until her honorable retirement.

Over the years of service in the judicial system, Afonina was awarded the distinction badges of the Judicial Department under the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation «For Diligence» of I and II degree, and the medal «For Impeccable Service».

One of the last cases that Svetlana Afonina handled towards the end of her service was the case of Daniil under the «Dolina scheme». Recall that in this story, the first criminal case in Russia was initiated.

At that time, a Tula resident lost his home — the judge justified this by saying that in the country «such a practice has developed». According to Daniil«s admission, the judge herself noted that there were many oddities on the plaintiff»s side.
