In Tula, authorities have begun holding management companies accountable for failing to fulfill their duties of clearing ice and snow from the territories of apartment buildings. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor«s office.
The first company to come under law enforcement scrutiny was ZhSO LLC. After numerous publications online, the prosecutor«s office launched an inspection of the management company for violations of housing legislation norms.
The inspection also involved employees of the state housing inspectorate and the administration of the Proletarsky District.
The inspection revealed that the company had not taken measures to clear snow from the adjacent territories and ice from the roofs. As a result, the head of the management company was served with a prosecutorial order demanding the elimination of the violations.
Also, a representative of the legal entity was summoned to the prosecutor«s office, and the issue of holding him administratively liable under the article on conducting activities without a license is being considered. The legal entity faces a fine of up to 300,000 rubles (approximately $3,300 at current rates).
