Triumphal Arch Reconstruction Delayed Until 2027

The deadline for reconstructing the Triumphal Arch on Sovetskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod has been postponed to 2027. The corresponding changes were made to the municipal contract, according to the public procurement portal.

Initially, the work was planned to be completed by November 2026. Now the new contract execution deadline is set until December 2027.

According to the additional agreement, the restoration of the Triumphal Arch itself must be completed by August 10, 2027. Work on creating a universal exhibition space and landscaping the adjacent territory is planned to be finished by December 1, 2027.

Also, by the end of 2027, the contractor must obtain the necessary conclusions from state construction and environmental supervision authorities, as well as a permit to put the facility into operation.

As previously reported by the city«s Department of Construction, engineering and geological surveys have been completed. In addition, specialists have developed and approved a concept for landscaping the territory, facades of the future facility, a pavilion concept, planning solutions, and a location option for the arch.

Currently, the contractor is carrying out a set of preparatory works, as well as moving engineering networks out of the future construction zone.

In the summer of 2025, GlavUKS (Main Department of Capital Construction) of Nizhny Novgorod entered into a contract with a company from Kazan, JSC TSNRU.
