Traffic Accident Injures One in Vologda Region

On December 4, 47 accidents occurred on the roads of Vologda Region, with only property damage. One accident resulted in injuries. Traffic police inspectors identified several violations:

Six drivers were removed from driving while intoxicated.

11 people drove without a driver«s license.

83 drivers were held accountable for not wearing a seatbelt.

Administrative offense reports were filed against 28 pedestrians.

Nine drivers violated passenger transportation rules, three of them transported children with violations.

Police also issued 18 acts documenting deficiencies in the maintenance of the region’s roads.

A separate incident was recorded on the evening of February 4, 2026, in Cherepovets. At approximately 18:30 on Pobedy Avenue, 122, while exiting an adjacent area, a Renault Logan driven by a sober 22-year-old woman, who was wearing a seatbelt, failed to yield and collided with a LiAZ bus. The bus was driven by a sober 50-year-old man, also wearing a seatbelt. He was traveling along Pobedy Avenue from Pervomayskaya Street towards Arkhangelskaya Street.

As a result of the collision, the female driver sustained injuries. An ambulance crew examined her and transported her to Vologda Regional Hospital No. 2. Both vehicles were technically sound.
