Townhouse Village Near Novosibirsk Gets Urban Internet, Mobile

In the suburbs of Novosibirsk, mobile coverage and data transmission speeds have been expanded in the area of the Green Park cottage village. The telecom equipment was placed so that the coverage area includes not only the streets with townhouses, but also the territory of the adjacent Oktyabrsky settlement and a section of the Severny bypass.

As the operator reported, the development of digital infrastructure is linked to the growth of suburban construction.

«According to various data, Novosibirsk residents are more often interested in cottages in ecologically clean areas within a 30-kilometer radius from the city center. At the same time, families are not ready to give up digital comfort. Suburban residents want to feel the same confidence in communication quality as residents of the metropolis center,» noted Dmitry Olovyannikov, director of MegaFon in Novosibirsk Oblast.

Mobile internet speeds in the residential area reach 75 Mbps. This is enough to simultaneously use video calls, streaming services, navigation, and other resources without significant degradation of connection quality. In addition, stable mobile communication is important for the operation of smart home devices. Through the mobile network, owners can remotely control video surveillance, security, heating systems, and various sensors.
