Students Forced to Scale Fence to Reach School in Viz

Students of School No. 171 encountered an unusual obstacle on their way to classes. Two days ago, the lock on the gate broke, and to avoid being late, the children had to climb over the fence.

One of the mothers captured this process on video. In the recording, the children ask, «How will we get over?», after which parents help them climb over and then toss over their backpacks and change of shoes.

Older schoolchildren manage on their own, without adult help.

«For the second day in a row, children have been climbing over the fence to get to school. The installed chip lock on the gate broke on Monday, January 19, and the school couldn»t think of anything better than to chain the gate shut,« E1.RU was told by the mother of one of the students.

The educational institution explained that only one gate from the Metallurgov Street side is faulty. To enter the school without extreme measures, one can use the entrance from Kraulya Street.

«Our children climb over the fence even when all the gates are open. But one of them really isn»t working. Repairmen were supposed to come yesterday—they didn«t show up. We expect them today,» School No. 171 reported.

A similar incident occurred a year ago in the Zarechny microdistrict, where students also crawled through the fencing to get to school.
