The State Administrative and Technical Inspection of St. Petersburg (GATI) has increased monitoring of public areas due to heavy snowfall.
During inspections, 83 sites popular among city residents were examined. Unsatisfactory results were found at 48 of them, located in 12 districts of St. Petersburg.
- Inspectors focused primarily on areas near shops, shopping centers, and private parking lots.
- The most common violations were failure to remove snow and treat surfaces against ice.
- In some cases, snow was collected into piles but not removed in a timely manner.
Official warnings were sent to the owners of the problematic sites, after which the violations began to be addressed.
The GATI press service clarified that these areas will remain under special supervision until the identified issues are fully resolved.
