Snow and fog: what weather to expect in Murmansk region on Thursday

According to the Murmansk Hydrometeorological Center, on January 22, winter and adverse weather is expected in the Murmansk region. A southwesterly and westerly wind will blow at speeds of 5–10 m/s. Light snow is forecast in some areas, with moderate snow in the north during the day.

In some areas, fog and frost are possible, which may reduce visibility on roads. Air temperatures at night will range from -6 to -11 degrees Celsius (21 to 12°F), dropping to -12…-17 degrees Celsius (10 to 1°F) during clear spells. During the day, temperatures are expected to be from -3 to -8 degrees Celsius (27 to 18°F), with some areas reaching -13 degrees Celsius (9°F).

Icy conditions are forecast on roads, with some areas experiencing severe ice. In connection with this, the Murmansk Regional State Traffic Inspectorate reminds drivers of safety measures.
