Smoke but no heat: Krasnoyarsk residents endure freezing apartments
Residents of 29a Svobodny Street in Krasnoyarsk have been suffering in cold apartments for over a week, with temperatures at +11°C (52°F) and ice on floors, while complaints to authorities go unanswered. The management company blames the EVRZ heat supply organization, and the city administration promises fixes but smoke continues to plague the area.

Residents of the building at 29a Svobodny Street have been freezing in their apartments for over a week — the temperature there remains at +11°C (52°F), and ice has formed on the floor. People are complaining en masse to emergency services and the city mayor, but the situation is not changing.

A correspondent from NGS24.RU contacted the management company «ZHSK», which services the building at 29a Svobodny Street. The management company confirmed problems on the part of the heat supply organization.
«According to preliminary information, the boiler from EVRZ was still not started yesterday. Therefore, based on requests from residents, we are planning to organize heat inspections at the addresses to record, on our part, the under-supply of heat to the apartments for this reason,» explained the management company.
They also noted that a similar heating situation in this building already occurred in December.
The editorial office attempted to obtain an operational comment from EVRZ. By phone, we were redirected to the enterprise«s reception, but no one picked up the phone there.
The Krasnoyarsk city hall reported that the situation at the EVRZ boiler house is under control.
«Currently, specialists are reconfiguring the boiler house»s heat supply system to make homes warmer. Additionally, according to information from SGK, the construction of a central heat point is planned this year. This is being done to replace the EVRZ boiler house this year,« said the city administration.

It is worth noting that this week, Krasnoyarsk residents have already drawn attention to heavy smoke emissions from the EVRZ pipe.
