The town where the history of the big atom began has received a new digital charge. Additional telecom equipment has been installed in the town of Sim — the hometown of the famous physicist Igor Kurchatov. Residents note improvements in connection quality and internet speed in the Naberezhnaya Street area following the work.

The new equipment operates on several frequency bands. According to Megafon communications specialists, this provides a wide coverage radius and stable performance, including during peak network loads. The connection speed is sufficient for watching lectures online, listening to music, or shopping on mobile apps.

It«s important for us that residents of Sim and travelers passing through the town on the federal highway don»t experience difficulties with mobile internet. Therefore, we need to systematically develop the network: just last year, specialists built and upgraded about 80 base stations,

commented Gennady Zhukov, the operator«s director for the Chelyabinsk region.

Sim is important for the Chelyabinsk region not only for its «atomic» biography. The federal M-5 Ural highway passes through the town: communication is needed here both by locals and those passing through, to call loved ones, plot a route in a navigator, or send a photo in a messenger.
