Second Phase of Ufa Campus to Finish by Year-End

The Republic of Bashkortostan took first place in the federal ranking for campus creation. The project management quality index reached 100% across all control points, indicating a high level of construction organization and adherence to deadlines.

Readiness of the second phase of the campus has exceeded 70%, with its opening planned by the end of 2026. On the seventh and final tower, workers are finishing several floors; monolithic work on the other six towers was completed back in June. Landscaping and interior finishing are proceeding simultaneously. The project is being implemented in several stages under the national project «Youth and Children».

The total area of the campus is 140,000 square meters. The first phase, covering 35,000 square meters, was launched with the participation of President Vladimir Putin and houses modern laboratories and classrooms for research and education.

The campus is focused on training specialists at the intersection of IT and natural sciences: it will educate IT professionals capable of developing software with deep immersion in genetics and biotechnology. This approach creates a unique talent pool for scientific and applied projects at the regional and federal levels.

The residential section of the second phase consists of seven towers united by a single stylobate and is designed for over 4,000 places. In addition to comfortable living, it includes conference spaces, two restaurant zones, sports facilities, and a public area — a cultural hub for creative and educational events, open to students and residents of Ufa.

The architectural concept carries symbolic meaning: the campus silhouette references the kurai flower, the national symbol of Bashkortostan, and at the same time resembles a gear, emphasizing the connection between cultural heritage and technological progress. The complex is designed as a city landmark, visible from various points in the city.

Andrey Nazarov commented: «I would note that overall, the implementation of this project plays a very important role in turning the region into a world-class scientific and educational center and strengthens Bashkortostan»s position. The full launch of the campus will not only provide comfortable and safe conditions for learning and living for students, including foreign ones, but also make Ufa an attractive magnet for talented youth from across the country, confirming the high level of Russian education and modern scientific and educational infrastructure. According to the results of federal monitoring, the project received the maximum 100 points across all key indicators. Completion of the second phase is planned for this year, and student occupancy is expected from September 2027.«
