Samara BDSM Icon Uncle Seryozha Dies

The most famous BDSM practitioner in Samara, Uncle Seryozha, has died. The news was reported by his daughter.

The Samara resident nicknamed «Uncle Seryozha» was widely known in certain circles as the organizer of BDSM parties in the city. Here is a detailed interview with him that we conducted in 2023.

«I started to get interested in and practice BDSM back in Brezhnev»s time, 35 years ago. In the USSR, and then in Russia, people didn«t know anything about this acronym (just like about sex), but the phenomenon itself already existed. And people were interested too. Everything spread by word of mouth. I didn»t hide, but I didn«t flaunt my interests either. If someone asked or was interested, I calmly explained my position and ideas. And then the thought came to organize everything on the right scale. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, BDSM parties have been held for a long time. And why is Samara, a fairly large city, worse? And it began,» Uncle Seryozha told us in 2023. That year, the Samara BDSM club celebrated its 17th anniversary.

The BDSM icon passed away on 11 December after a severe illness, his daughter reported.

«With deep regret, I inform you that my father, Sergei, is no longer with us. He was a person who always lived as he considered right – with humor, freedom, and inner peace. For those who knew him personally, dad was a reliable support, a person you could rely on at any moment. And although he rarely spoke about family publicly, at home he was the very person who held together our little world,» the girl wrote.

He could ease tension with a single word and restore a sense of stability with a smile, recalls Uncle Seryozha«s daughter.

«We are grateful to everyone who was by his side over the years, who respected him, was friends with him, worked with him, who saw him as we loved him. Thank you to all who keep a good memory of him,» the girl concluded.

Uncle Seryozha is survived by his wife, daughter, and son. The man was cremated according to his own wishes.
