Ruts and snowdrifts prevent garbage trucks from collecting waste in central Novosibirsk

Garbage cannot be removed from some courtyards in central Novosibirsk due to unplowed roads. The press service of SАХ Joint Stock Company (SАХ) reports that employees are unable to collect waste because of ruts and snowdrifts.
As reported in the SАХ Telegram channel, access is impossible at Krasny Prospekt, 75, Maxim Gorky Street, 79, Gogol Street, 1, and Michurin Street, 27.
«Crews of the regional operator are sounding the alarm: deep ruts on access roads are pulling specialized vehicles off the road, while the container sites themselves are buried in snow, making the containers inaccessible,» SАХ reports.
Deep ruts have formed on the approaches to houses 73 and 75 on Krasny Prospekt, making passage unsafe for specialized vehicles. The garbage truck loses stability and could damage parked cars and other road users. Until the road is cleared of snow, drivers will not be able to reach the container sites.
The crew can barely reach the container site at Maxim Gorky Street, 79, but still cannot load the waste. The containers are in a depression and buried in snow. Full bins weighing 400 kilograms (880 lbs) cannot be rolled to the garbage truck manually. Loaders collect the top bags of garbage but cannot completely empty the containers.
«SАХ JSC receives complaints from residents about overflowing containers, even though garbage trucks go out on routes daily. If waste is not removed on time, it means the equipment could not drive into the courtyard and collect the waste,» the press service explained.
Employees report access problems to the management companies responsible for clearing the area around the buildings. City residents are also advised to contact their management companies.
Several days ago, an ambulance got stuck near a house in the Kirovsky District. This was reported by NGS reader Maria, who sent a photo from the scene.
