Residents of the «Vozrozhdenie» residential complex in Surgut have collectively appealed to city council deputy Alexey Kuchin. Surgut residents are concerned about the change in the general plan for the development zone of the «Poyma-4» district from low-rise to high-rise. And they are even ready to go to court.
An agreement to change the development parameters of the «Poyma-4» district was approved by the developer with the district authorities and includes additional social obligations from the developer. At an extraordinary meeting of the Surgut city council in late December, this issue was considered. The changes were adopted by a majority vote. Currently, the developer is working on the territory planning project. It should include all calculations related to ensuring social and transport infrastructure.
«In my role as a deputy, I consistently oppose the practice of introducing high-rise development zones that can negatively affect the quality of life for residents of surrounding districts with established development. I believe that the future of our city lies in creating comfortable housing with low density and building height,» the deputy commented on the situation.
According to Kuchin, the developed project must undergo public hearings and may be sent for revision if residents disagree with its parameters. Kuchin also believes that the future of the city lies in creating comfortable housing with low density and building height.
«I will make every effort to ensure that you are informed about the date and location of these hearings, and that the opinions expressed by Surgut residents are heard by the city administration and the project developer,» the deputy summarized.
Residents, however, are ready to go to court to challenge the approved amendments. Previously, at public hearings, they expressed their position.
