The timeline for the reconstruction of the Triumphal Arch on Sovetskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod has been shifted to 2027. The corresponding amendment was made to the municipal contract, according to the public procurement portal.
Initially, work was planned to be completed by November 2026, but now the deadline for contract execution is set for December 2027.
According to the additional agreement, the arch itself must be ready by 10 August 2027. The construction of the exhibition space and landscaping of the area around the arch is scheduled to be completed by 1 December of the same year. Also, by the end of 2027, the contractor must obtain approvals from the state construction supervision and environmental supervision authorities, as well as a permit to put the facility into operation.
Earlier, the city Department of Construction reported that engineering and geological surveys had been completed and that the concept for landscaping, facades, the pavilion, and the arch«s location had been approved.
Currently, the contractor is carrying out preparatory work and relocating utility networks from the future construction zone.
In the summer of 2025, GlavUKS (Main Department for Capital Construction) of Nizhny Novgorod signed a contract with the Kazan-based JSC TSNRU for nearly 315 million rubles (approximately $3.5 million at current rates).
