On 26 January, temporary barriers were installed around Palace Square and the embankment in St. Petersburg. The perimeter of the square is under police guard.
As reported by presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin is working in the city on 26 and 27 January. On Monday, the head of state will hold a meeting at the Hermitage with the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim.
Also planned are working meetings with the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and the Governor of Leningrad Oblast Alexander Drozdenko. On 27 January, the president will take part in events dedicated to the anniversary of the complete lifting of the siege of Leningrad.
