Prosecutor's Office Investigates Water Supply Failure in Tomsk

The regional prosecutor has taken control of fixing the utility accident that left more than 600 homes on Siberian Street in Tomsk without water. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor«s office.
«During the inspection, the prosecutor»s office of the Sovetsky District of Tomsk will assess the observance of local residents« rights to quality water supply. If violations are found, measures of prosecutorial response will be taken to eliminate the violations,» the statement says.
This morning, the utility accident on Siberian Street left residents of more than 600 apartment buildings without cold water. Specialists from «Tomskvodokanal» (Tomsk Water Utility) promise that water will return to the homes by 21:00. For this time, water delivery has been organized for residents. Water trucks will be stationed from 11:00 at Siberian Street, 81, and near the house at Leo Tolstoy Street 38B (from the Siberian Street side).
Buses No. 13/14 will temporarily change their route due to the pipeline burst.
