Perm Krai Offers Million-Ruble Grant for Coaches Relocating to Villages

The program helps coaches and sports educators find employment in small towns and villages across the krai.
The Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of Perm Krai has announced a selection process for the «Zemsky Trainer» program. The program aims to employ sports professionals in settlements with up to 50,000 residents. Successful candidates will receive a compensation payment of 1 million rubles (approximately $11,000 at current rates), to be used at their discretion.
Candidates must have secondary professional or higher education in physical culture and sports, not be currently employed in their specialty in a town with under 50,000 people, and have relevant work experience. After being hired, they are required to work for five years.
— In 2026, funds are allocated for the employment of nine specialists who will start working in the region«s sports organizations. This initiative is part of a broader set of measures to develop mass sports and support personnel in municipalities, — said Tatiana Chesnokova, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Perm Krai.
