The owner of a perfume stall in the Dzerzhinsky district of Volgograd recounted a brazen theft. According to him, he had only stepped away for a couple of minutes when an enterprising visitor decided to pick out a fragrance and not pay for it.

Security footage shows the suspect casually walking away with the stolen perfume.

The footage shows the man initially standing uncertainly at the counter in the Park House shopping center, looking around. He then picks up a bottle of perfume, glances around again, and apparently realizing there are no witnesses, simply strolls away unhurriedly.

— Yesterday I stepped away for a break for literally 5 minutes, — the stall owner narrates. — I returned, noticed the absence of the decanter of perfume, checked the cameras, and immediately called the police. The theft amounts to 87,500 rubles.

V1.RU has been informed by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) for the Volgograd Region that a report regarding this incident has been registered and an investigation is underway to identify the malicious fragrance thief.

Recall that recently police caught the bearded Socrates for stealing a pack of cigarettes at a grocery store of a well-known chain. Along with the tobacco products, the namesake of the famous ancient Greek philosopher also attempted to steal several shampoos, and when spotted, tried to flee but unsuccessfully.
