Parents in VIZ Toss Children Over Fence to Reach School
The path to knowledge for students of School No. 171 has become thorny. It turned into a morning attraction two days ago when a lock on one of the gates broke. To prevent the children from being late for classes, parents are tossing them directly over the fence.
Getting to the next gate requires going to another street, so climbing the fence is quicker.
One of the mothers recorded this process on video. In the recording, children approach the fence confusedly with the question: «How will we climb over?» Parents help them cross over to the school grounds, and then toss over their backpacks and spare shoes.
Older schoolchildren confidently climb over the fence on their own.
«For the second day now, children have been climbing over the fence to get to school. The installed chip lock on the gate broke on Monday, January 19, and the school couldn»t come up with anything better than to secure the gate with a chain and lock,« E1.RU was told by a mother of one of the students.
The school explained to E1.RU that only one gate is broken, on the Metallurgov side. But without the extreme, lessons can be accessed from Kraulya Street.
«Children climb over the fence even when all the gates are open. But one of them really isn»t working. Repairmen were supposed to come yesterday—they didn«t. We expect them today,» our editorial office was informed by School No. 171.
A similar situation occurred a year ago in the Zarechny microdistrict. There, children also crawled through the fence to get to school.
