Over 200 Bikers to Arrive in Vologda Region

From July 24 to 26, the region will host the All-Russian motorcycle rally dedicated to the Day of the Baptism of Rus. Governor Georgy Filimonov announced this on his social media. «The motorcycle rally will include members of the Night Wolves club headed by Alexander Zaldastanov (Surgeon). We agreed on this large-scale event during a recent personal meeting at the Moscow Bike Center. The main program of the motorcycle rally will take place on July 25 in Kirillov. On the shore of Lake Siverskoye, we will hold the All-Russian Motorcycle Festival and the Governor of the Vologda Region Cup in water-motor sports in the aquabike class. For the first time in the region, spectators will see the motorbike sphere show »We Spin the Earth.« The program will also include water-motor and water-pyrotechnic shows, concerts, DJ performances, a fair, master classes, and interactive activities,» wrote Georgy Filimonov.

The motorcycle rally route, about 600 kilometers long, will pass through Moscow, Vologda, Kirillov, and Ferapontovo. It is linked to places where Saints Kirill and Ferapont, the founders of the Kirillo-Belozersky and Ferapontov monasteries, lived. The motorcycle festival is organized as part of the governor«s project »Summer of the Russian North.«
