Otters Play in Snow at Leningrad Zoo

The snowy weather that has settled in St. Petersburg since early January has pleased not only the city«s residents but also the animals of Leningrad Zoo. On January 20, the zoo»s official Telegram channel reported how otters Finik and Bertold are enjoying winter.
Staff at the institution noted that the pets« enclosure has turned into an excellent playground thanks to the abundant snow. The animals enthusiastically search for treats hidden in snowdrifts by a zoologist beforehand, slide on their bellies down icy slopes, and curiously bury their muzzles in the soft snow cover.
The zoo added that for rainy St. Petersburg, heavy snowfalls are a rarity, so the winter fairy tale is met with particular joy here. For Finik and Bertold, such conditions have become ideal for active entertainment.
