Operation Motorcyclist: Enhanced Road Control

From July 20 to 26, officers of the State Traffic Inspectorate in the Chelyabinsk Region are conducting the operational preventive measure «Motorcyclist». Its goal is to reduce the number of road accidents involving motorcycles and to suppress gross violations of traffic rules. Special attention is paid to drivers who operate motorcycles without a license or while intoxicated.

According to the results of the first six months of 2026, traffic police inspectors identified over 2,700 violations committed by motorcycle drivers. Of these, 260 people were driving while intoxicated or refused a medical examination, over 760 did not have a driver«s license or had been deprived of driving rights, and 250 drivers were under 16 years of age.

Control over compliance with traffic rules is organized comprehensively: both territorial units and the regional traffic police regiment are involved in patrolling, working together in municipalities.

In the city of Miass, over six months of 2026, 77 violations by motorcycle drivers were recorded, of which 5 were held accountable for driving while intoxicated. In addition, the regional traffic police regiment initiated 24 administrative investigations, during which it was established that 6 drivers were intoxicated or refused to undergo an examination.

The State Traffic Inspectorate emphasizes: driving a motorcycle by minors and persons without a driver«s license is a gross violation of traffic rules and poses a threat to the life and health of both the driver and other road users.
