Oleg Kursanin appointed to Center for Industrial Robotics
Oleg Kursanin, a graduate of the gubernatorial program «Heroes of the Southern Urals» and a former front-line bomber aviation navigator, has been appointed head of the department for interaction with state authorities at the ANO «Center for Industrial Robotics» (CIR) of the Chelyabinsk Region. He previously interned at the Ministry of Industry, New Technologies and Natural Resources of the region under Minister Mikhail Knaub.
In his new position, Kursanin will oversee the development of the CIR«s interaction system with executive authorities, local self-government, subordinate organizations and development institutions in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Key areas of his work include support for cooperation agreements with other regions, coordination of the center»s participation in interregional projects, and promotion of Chelyabinsk manufacturers of robotic solutions and components.
General Director of CIR Vyacheslav Zyryanov noted: «Today, industrial robotics is becoming one of the key factors of the country«s economic development. To implement large-scale projects to ensure technological sovereignty, it is necessary to build effective interaction between the state, industry, the scientific community and regions. I am confident that the experience, competencies and managerial potential of the participants of the governor»s program «Heroes of the Southern Urals» will help successfully solve these tasks.»
Zyryanov added that the appointment of Oleg Kursanin will strengthen the communication block of the CIR«s activities, expand interregional cooperation and increase the efficiency of projects to introduce modern robotic technologies at industrial enterprises to ensure technological sovereignty.

During my internship at the regional Ministry of Industry, under the guidance of my mentor Mikhail Yevgenyevich Knaub, I studied with interest the development of this direction in the Southern Urals, visited many enterprises both producing and actively implementing industrial robots, and saw firsthand that our region is one of the country«s centers for the introduction of new technologies. Therefore, I see my important task in my new job as scaling the best practices and developments of the region»s enterprises throughout Russia,» emphasized Oleg Kursanin.
The Center for Industrial Robotics of the Chelyabinsk Region continues to form a team of specialists for the accelerated introduction of domestic robotic technologies and the development of industrial potential, as well as the robotization of production processes at enterprises of the region and other constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The program «Heroes of the Southern Urals», launched on the initiative of Governor Alexei Teksler, is aimed at preparing participants of the special military operation to work in the system of state and municipal administration, as well as in key organizations of the region. Upon completion of training, graduates received appointments in executive authorities, state institutions, development institutions and leading enterprises of the Chelyabinsk Region.
