'Now our local resident': Fox sighted in Irkutsk neighborhood

Residents of the Topkinsky neighborhood in Irkutsk have spotted a fox near residential buildings. Locals have seen her near one house or another for at least the last week, and some say the red guest has been coming here for months. Photos and videos have been posted in the neighborhood«s chat group.
Residents are also discussing the fox«s fate and health. Some suggest the wild predator is infected or sick with rabies, but not everyone agrees with this view.
«Definitely healthy. She»s been running around here for months. If she had rabies, she«d be dead by now,» reasoned a local resident.
Others say there are more diseases on overcrowded public transport than on the red guest. Besides, she catches rats and mice in the neighborhood, which means she«s useful.
«Sick animals don»t look so well-groomed,« people assure.
«Maybe someone brought them from the forest as cubs, played with them until they grew up, and then let them go, so now they»re wandering,« wrote others.
«Now our local resident,» noted a third group.
«Or resident. The gender is unknown. I hope it»s a male. That«s one thing, but if it brings fox cubs in the spring...» echoed others.
