Novoshakhtinsk Without Water After Pipeline Failure in Rostov Region

A burst pressure main forced the shutdown of three pumping stations, cutting off water and heating to Novoshakhtinsk and several settlements on January 21.

On the morning of January 21, Novoshakhtinsk was left without heating. This was reported by the press service of URSV.

Water was cut off at 7:40. The cause is an accident on the pressure main. Three pumping stations had to be stopped.

Water is unavailable in these settlements:

N. Sokolovka;
S. Sokolovka;
1st and 2nd divisions of Sovkhoz 6;
Gorodskaya;
Stroybyuro;
Zapadnaya;
Radio;
Nesvetayevsky settlement;
Tsentr;
Gorkogo;
Bugultay;
Sambek;
Krasny settlement.

The accident is promised to be dealt with by 18:00 on January 21. Residents are promised water delivery. For this, one needs to call the numbers 8 (929) 814-56-45, 2-52-56, or 112.

Last week, due to an accident, Gukovo, Zverevo, and settlements in two districts of the region were left without water. Water is scarce even in stores, and queues form at water tankers. Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin ordered a criminal case to be initiated. And the problem has still not been fully resolved.
