Novgorod Region Police Weekly Summary

From 13 to 19 July 2026, police in the Novgorod Region solved 13 crimes, stopped more than 31,000 traffic violations, and deported 12 foreign nationals.

Employees of the Novgorod Region Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (UMVD) summed up the results of the week from 13 to 19 July 2026. During this period, law enforcement officers solved five thefts, four crimes related to drug trafficking, two crimes against property, two frauds, and one case of organizing a criminal community. Additionally, one person was identified as involved in a previously committed crime.
In the area of road safety, employees of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD) identified 31,004 traffic violations. Of these, 29,713 violations were recorded using technical photo and video recording equipment.
Migration units conducted 38 inspection measures aimed at identifying violations of migration legislation. As a result, 42 administrative protocols were drawn up. Together with the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), police forcibly deported 12 foreign nationals from Russia.
Over the past seven days, district police officers identified five crimes and 50 administrative offenses. During preventive home visits, officers visited 237 citizens who are on record. To prevent remote fraud, conversations were held with 1,131 local residents.
