Nizhny Novgorod Residents Share Side Job Ideas, Including Packing Korean Cosmetics

More than 45% of working residents of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast intend to look for side jobs in the coming months. According to the recruitment agency Headhunter, this figure is higher than last year. Nizhny Novgorod residents have shared their side job experiences and ideas on the forums of NN.RU — we publish their opinions.

Many users suggested tutoring, selling goods, and computer services as ideas for side jobs.

“My side jobs are rare and irregular. ‘Reinstalling Windows’ for someone at home isn«t interesting, and in offices everything already works. Recently — in one office, I had to upgrade a computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10,” explained a forum user.

“I haven«t had a side job for ten years, but before that I tutored in chemistry, wrote term papers in chemistry and biology, and worked as a salesperson in a clothing store,” said Yekaterina.

“In my youth, I side-jobbed by teaching courses (office programs, languages), writing programs, and later — by creating and promoting websites. The first point is still relevant in our office,” explained a user with the nickname “Afraniy.”

“One of my older children designs ‘product cards’ for mobile applications. But he studied to be a designer, so he didn«t start from scratch,” said Yelena.

Also on the forums, work related to cleaning, packaging goods, and other physical labor was discussed.

“A friend got a job as a night watchman from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. at a creative center. Before that, she side-jobbed as a nurse. One night on, two off. She says it«s a job for the soul: a sofa, TV, silence. She realized her forgotten dream of knitting,” shared Anna.

“I side-job in my office for tenants, packaging Korean cosmetics,” said Tatyana.

“On weekends and not in my specialty. Consider that I work as an animator. I started in 2022, so it«s been three years now. I»m reluctant to quit, money is never extra,” explained a Nizhny Novgorod woman.

“I go to wash floors and am now looking for such a side job in the evenings,” shared a forum user.

“My main job is at a hospital. One day on, three off. In my free time, I go to homes — I do IV drips and injections,” said a user.

“[From ideas I can offer] pet sitting for dogs or cats, order collection, being an extra in talk shows. One acquaintance developed marathons with ascetic practices,” wrote Olga.

There were also those who advised not to take on side jobs and to preserve one«s health.

“It«s better to have one well-paid job, not all this... For all my side jobs at nights and mornings, I»m now paying with trips to doctors. At 30, I didn«t think about it, of course... And I didn»t earn great wealth,” said Yelena.
