Sergei Balanov, a prosthodontist at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Dental Clinic, died suddenly in his 59th year. The medical institution announced this on its social media accounts.
The doctor began his career with an internship and, from 1989, worked as a prosthodontist at the Regional Dental Clinic on Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod. For his many years of work, he was awarded the title «Excellent Health Worker of the Russian Federation».
«This is a heavy loss for the staff of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Dental Clinic and all patients. We have lost an experienced and highly qualified doctor, a caring colleague and friend,» the clinic wrote.
Earlier, the death of well-known sports journalist Vladimir Smirnov was reported in Nizhny Novgorod.
