A multifunctional district will be built in southern Moscow under the comprehensive development of territories (CDT) program. It will be located on Nagatinskaya Embankment in the Nagatino-Sadovniki area, and the draft decision has already been posted on mos.ru. This was announced by Vladimir Yefimov, Moscow«s deputy mayor for urban planning policy.

A plot of 14.6 hectares has been allocated for the development. A district with housing, social, and business infrastructure will be built there.

«In particular, there will be a kindergarten for 350 children and a school for one thousand students. In total, approximately 444,000 square meters of real estate are planned to be built. The project will create about six thousand jobs,» said Vladimir Yefimov, head of the Moscow Urban Planning Complex.

The territory is located between Warsaw Highway, the Kotlovka River, Nagatinskaya Embankment, the street of the same name, and the 1st Nagatinsky Passage. Nearby are the Nagatinskaya metro station, the Verkhniye Kotly platform of the Moscow Central Circle (MCC), and the Paveletsky direction commuter rail platforms. In total, almost 230,000 square meters of housing will be built in Nagatino-Sadovniki under the CDT program.

«In addition, the project provides for the construction of two administrative and business centers and a research and production complex. The adjacent territory will be improved and a convenient street and road network will be organized, integrating it into the citywide transport framework,» added Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Urban Planning Policy.

From the draft decision on the CDT, MSK1.RU found that the area of residential buildings will be almost 230,000 square meters, and non-residential — 214,000 square meters. The number of floors in the new buildings is not specified. Approximately 45, mostly small, buildings will be demolished (or reconstructed) near the under-construction residential complexes «1st Nagatinsky» and «Rotterdam», the post office building and the football arena on Warsaw Highway, and the courtyard opposite the college on Nagatinskaya Street.

The district is to be built within nine years from the signing of the CDT implementation agreement. The territory planning documents will be approved within one year after the agreement is signed.

MSK1.RU reported that the territory of a former bakery in southeastern Moscow is planned for development. Last year, it became known that more than 187 hectares in various districts of Moscow will be developed under CDT projects.
