In the northwest of Perm Krai, the cellular network was modernized. Changes affected the capital of Kudymkar district, the town of Kudymkar, and five other nearby settlements.
In Kudymkar itself, new equipment was launched in the Mirny residential quarter. This expanded coverage and provided residents with stable internet access and digital calls.
In the city center, where mass events are held, a low-frequency range was activated and the coverage area was expanded. Now audiences and participants of cultural events, such as the music festival «Tramplin» (Springboard) and the theater festival «Soobshchenie» (Message), will be able to use messengers, make video calls, and stream content to social networks under high load. The technical work in the district was carried out by MegaFon engineers.
We have prepared the infrastructure for increased load during mass events, and also created a long-term foundation for further digitalization of Kudymkar district. Mobile communications and internet significantly simplify daily life and open equal opportunities for residents of both cities and rural areas. Now tourists and guests of the district can plan routes online and stay connected, while local residents can use digital services to solve personal issues, implement new business ideas, study remotely, or work, — said the operator’s director in Perm Krai, Andrey Shmelyov.
The network modernization covered the settlements of Yegva, Leninsk, Malaya Serva, Razino, and Samkovo.
