Khanty-Mansiysk Airport Overhaul Cost 3.2 Billion Rubles

The Khanty-Mansiysk airport is set for a major overhaul. The total contract value is over 3.2 billion rubles, awarded to the company Donaerodorstroy. This was reported by the airport«s press service.
The repair will be divided into several stages. First, specialists will survey the airport, check the condition of coatings and structures. A project for future works will be developed and the exact cost calculated. After the project and estimate are reviewed by the Main State Expert Review (Glavgosexpertiza) of Russia, the actual repair will begin. In the final stage, specialists will set up and test the new lighting system (light-signal equipment) that helps aircraft land and take off safely.
«Now our main task is to focus on capital repair work, while paying special attention to the use of modern technologies and materials to ensure uninterrupted operation of the airport. This is the most important and large-scale work for our airport in its entire existence, which will increase the level of safety and comfort for decades to come,» said Alexander Kachura, CEO of Yugraavia.
Earlier, Alexander Kachura reported that the overhaul of the capital of Yugra«s airport is planned for 2026–2028. Tentatively, this year the contractor will handle design, and next year will begin construction and installation work.
