The most-read news of 2025 was a collection of Novosibirsk residents« comments on ticket prices for a Nadezhda Kadysheva concert. It was read over 660,000 times. Ticket prices for the event reached up to 20,000 rubles (about $200 at current rates). Here»s what city residents wrote about it.

“20,000 rubles (about $200), people, come to your senses,” Nikolai briefly commented at the time.

“That«s the maximum ticket price, and the minimum is from 5,000 rubles (about $50). Quite normal. Look at other artists, what their prices are,” reasoned an NGS subscriber.

“You can listen to the songs for free, after all. And whoever wants to — goes to the concert,” wrote a Novosibirsk resident.

The concert itself took place on 29 September at the Siberia Arena. See in our report how the event went.

“I’m stroking her, and she’s not reacting at all”

In June, Tanya Drozdova passed away in Novosibirsk. She had been battling ADA-TKIN disease (a severe combined immunodeficiency) for many years.

In recent months, Tatyana was very ill — she had pneumonia.

On the morning of 4 June, the girl«s mother, Alyona, came to visit her daughter. Tatyana was no longer conscious.

“I arrived at 7:20 a.m. The on-duty doctor met me and said not to wake her; she had been given a narcotic painkiller. In the room, I noticed she had regular breathing, even though Tanya has tachycardia. I«m stroking her, Tanyusha, and her eyes are just slightly open like that, and that»s it, she simply isn«t reacting at all,” the Siberian woman explained.

Alyona contacted a doctor to have her daughter examined. After the examination, the doctor realized that Tatyana«s pupils weren»t reacting, and she was taken to intensive care. Today around 7:30 p.m., Alyona was called from the hospital and told that Tatyana had died without regaining consciousness.

NGS has detailed the story of Tatyana Drozdova«s fight for a medication prescribed to patients with this diagnosis. The cost of the drug was 50 million rubles (about $500,000).

“Everything«s built up, crowds of people, terrible prices”

Vacationing in Altai in recent years is an expensive pleasure

Another issue that Novosibirsk residents commented on was how vacationing in Altai has changed. The collection garnered almost 170,000 views. Many spoke about how there are now too many tourists in the republic, and prices have risen sharply.

“In the past, students and Komsomol members from factories went to Manzherok. They didn«t roam all over Altai. Locals wouldn»t touch a stone without need, it«s a sin, but now they»ve overrun all of Altai with «all-terrain vehicles». Altai is gone. They«ll dig up everything,” wrote one of the site»s visitors.

“Glad I visited Gorny when there were only two tourist bases. That«s when there was nature, beauty, accessibility. Now everything»s built up, crowds of people, terrible prices,” noted another reader.

“There used to be many comfortable places for nature recreation in Altai (tents and huts with outdoor facilities — not my thing), now there are even more, but the price tag: oh-oh. You have to go further and further away, but there are comfort issues there,” added another user.

So readers reacted to a report from Manzherok about how Altai has been seized by a “gold rush”. Read what local residents said about this.

Amazing Bird

A Novosibirsk resident was able to pick up the bird but then released it

Novosibirsk residents are attracted not only by Altai«s nature but also by local nature. Apparently, that»s why news about an unusual bird with a long beak, found in the Dzerzhinsky district, was read by almost 140,000 people.

A reader found the bird and was even able to pick it up. Novosibirsk biologist Alexei Yanovsky explained that the Novosibirsk resident had caught a woodcock — a species that lives in forests with temporary water bodies and swampy lowlands. Woodcocks return from wintering in April when the snow melts in the forest.

Probably, the bird calmly allowed itself to be picked up because it had encountered some obstacle beforehand. Woodcocks usually migrate in the dark.

Long-Awaited Bridge

This is how a section of the new bridge looked in summer

A summer photo report with images of the fourth bridge garnered 94,000 views. At that time, the object was 98% complete, but the exact date for opening traffic was not stated. The builders assured that they would do it by the end of 2025. And so it happened — technical traffic was opened on the night of 15 to 16 December. NGS followed the event in an online broadcast.

Despite calculations, after the bridge opened, large traffic jams began to form near it. The city hall explained why this happened and when the situation should change.

But traffic jams in Novosibirsk occur not only because of the fourth bridge but also for other reasons. More about them — in the NGS material.
