Kazan to Install Cameras on Profsoyuznaya Street

Cameras are planned to be installed on Profsoyuznaya Street, which will record everything around the clock. This was reported by the city«s mayor»s office.

All video will be stored on the cameras for a month. If cases of hooliganism or vandalism are captured, the footage will be handed over to the police.

«The new cameras are intended to increase the speed of response to acts of vandalism and other offenses, as well as to improve the safety of the city»s residents and visitors,« noted the Kazan mayor»s office.

On Baumana Street, 24 high-resolution cameras have already been installed to record the faces of violators and all incidents on the pedestrian street.

Earlier, at School No. 18 in Kazan, there were complaints about surveillance cameras in toilet stalls. It turned out that the school administration had installed dummy cameras there to deter vandals.
