Hundreds of residents in Novokuznetsk complained of power and water outages on Monday, June 20, after a weekend storm. The city administration blames the severe weather conditions.

Novokuznetsk continues to recover after the weekend«s storm. According to Mayor Denis Ilyin»s social media post on Monday, June 20, more than 300 complaints have been received from residents over the past days.

Ilyin clarified that due to the severe weather, many of the 334 people complained to the EDDC (Unified Duty Dispatch Service) about broken wires, power outages, water and gas cuts, fallen branches, leaking roofs, and non-working traffic lights. Additionally, at least nine cars were damaged by the storm.

«When will they turn on the electricity on Abrikosovaya? They turned it off at around 11 o»clock without warning, and here we sit waiting, no water, no light, they never connected the gas. Can you tell me how to live without electricity? The whole street is without light,« — wrote commenters in the chat.
«There»s no light in Dalny Kuibyshevo since four in the morning. We called, no one knows when it will be turned back on. We«re sitting like in a cave without light and water,» — messages from residents are still coming in.
As the administration stated, emergency crews will continue to work in an enhanced mode and eliminate the consequences of the bad weather at the following addresses:
