After heavy precipitation, many homes in Tyumen and adjacent districts were submerged. Locals are sharing photos and recounting the damage.

Olga Selyutina from the village of Kaskara (Tyumen region) reports: «The problem is in Kaskara on Yuzhnaya, Vostochnaya, and Zheleznodorozhnikov streets. Our neighbors are sinking more and more every day. There is water in the houses, crucian carp are swimming around. Nothing is being done.»
Lyubov Ivanova describes the situation in the Zaikovo and Bykovo microdistricts: «The water rises every hour. Approaches to homes and basements are flooded; the boiler rooms located there have been knocked out. There is no natural drainage system in the microdistricts, so water even stands on plots.»
Yulia, a resident of the Parfenovo microdistrict, also shares photos of flooded plots, noting: «Parfenovo is also flooding.»
One resident of Yesaulova (Tyumensky district) states: «The local administration is taking no measures to counter the flood. They even failed to close the dam that cuts the settlement off from the river. We really need to draw attention to the problem; local authorities do not make contact.»
Lyubov from SNT (gardening non-profit partnership) Lavanda in Verkhny Bor complains: «You could buy a boat and sail. It’s flooding, really badly flooding this year. The entire harvest has rotted.»
