Heating and Hot Water Cut Off in Perm Schools and Homes

Heating and hot water have been disconnected in 106 buildings in Perm's Motovilikha district, affecting schools and kindergartens. The outages are due to repairs on damaged heating networks and are expected to last until January 31.

In the Motovilikha district of Perm, heating and hot water have been turned off in 106 buildings. Some of these contain schools and kindergartens. We are publishing the addresses.

The company T Plus warned residents of Motovilikha about the start of repairs on damaged sections of the heating networks on Starsteva and Ponomareva streets.

«Defects were discovered during a period of severe cold, but we began repairs once weather conditions improved to reduce inconvenience for residents,» the utility workers said. «As a result, the supply of heat and hot water to homes connected to these sections has been temporarily limited.»

Below is the list of buildings where heating and hot water have been turned off. Addresses may repeat because some social facilities and organizations are located in residential buildings.

Social service for the elderly at Yursha St., 11; children«s center for sections at Yursha St., 56a; kindergarten No. 67 at Yursha St., 60a; child development center at Yursha St., 64.

  • Gymnasium No. 2 at Starsteva St., 1a; school No. 135 at Starsteva St., 9; kindergarten No. 419 at Starsteva St., 23.

  • Children«s sports school at Makarenko St., 25.

    Businesses

    Shopping center «Kvartet» in buildings at Yursha St., 80, 82, 84, 86 in the residential complex of the same name. There are stores «Pyaterochka», «Sportmaster», Gloria Jeans, «Lenta», «Citilink», cafes Petruccio, «Rostiks», «Sushi Master» and other organizations.

    Employees of T Plus ask people not to go beyond warning barriers and not to approach steaming areas, puddles, or spilled water.

    Repairs are planned to be completed by 1:00 AM on January 31. After that, heating will be restored to the buildings. The network operators warn that managing companies will need time to connect the heating supply systems inside the buildings. T Plus advises calling the managing company if heating and hot water are not turned on.
