The 30-degree heat (86°F) that has settled over Voronezh in recent days will soon recede. Starting July 22, rains will return to the city and will be almost daily, with temperatures dropping to more comfortable levels, according to the regional Hydrometeorological Center.
According to forecasters, from July 22 to 24, temperatures in Voronezh will not exceed +26°C (79°F). On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, thunderstorms with brief showers are expected. The wind will be mostly northwesterly, up to 13 m/s. At night, temperatures will drop to +14°C (57°F).
According to the Gismeteo portal, these weather changes are due to a warm anticyclone leaving the region, giving way to a cyclone centered over the Baltic region. In addition to thunderstorms and brief showers, prolonged downpours and strong winds are possible. It is likely that such weather will persist at least until the start of the next work week — that is, until the end of July.
