During supervisory measures over one day, inspectors identified 1,859 violations of the traffic rules. More than half of them, namely 1,001 cases, were speeding violations, which were recorded including with the help of automatic photo enforcement devices. Among other detected violations:

driving under the influence — 1 driver;

  • failure to yield to pedestrians — 7 drivers;

  • driving into oncoming traffic lane — 4 drivers;

  • driving a vehicle with windows whose light transmittance does not meet standards — 3 drivers;

  • driving a vehicle with illegible state registration plates — 85 drivers.

    Additionally, two pedestrians were held accountable for non-compliance with traffic rules. A car is a source of heightened danger. Drivers must choose a safe speed, strictly follow traffic lights, road signs and markings, and reduce speed in advance before pedestrian crossings and public transport stops.

    Pedestrians are advised to cross the roadway only at designated crosswalks, having first ensured that all vehicles have stopped. While crossing, they should not be distracted by phone calls. In dark or low-visibility conditions, it is important to wear clothing with reflective elements. Road safety depends on the discipline of every participant in traffic.
